there is a set of Windows Standard Gadgets existing called: "Chameleon Glass" by ~gersma [link]
There is also an icon for the rubbish bin with the same triangle of three arrows. When the bin is empty, it looks like your sign on the blue bin and when the bin has any files, the triangle is turning slowly - the fuller the bin, the faster it turns. Would you think that effect could be ported to the xwidget platform?

Unfortunately I couldn't get the effect to work on the Xwidget recycle bin. I even captured it as a .wav file but Xwidget doesn't seem to like the moving format. I shall keep trying though as I now really WANT it. Its so cool dam you.
